Ariel Bui, Founder & Piano Teacher
Ariel founded Melodia Studio in 2011 and loves teaching beginner and intermediate students of all ages. With academic and professional training in Piano Pedagogy, the art of teaching piano, she uses a variety of methodologies to fit each student's needs. Ariel earned an Artium Baccalaureus in Music from Rollins College in 2009 and has been a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Tennessee Music Teachers Association (TMTA), Nashville Area Music Teachers Association (NAMTA), and the Piano Teacher's Guild. Anne McCue, Guitar & Ukelele
Anne McCue studied piano as a child and switched to guitar in her teens with the dream of becoming a lead guitarist. She studied jazz guitar and music theory with Australian jazz legend Bruce Clarke. As a teacher, Anne likes to find each student's individual and unique path to musical and creative expression, whilst having fun along the way. Anne has also toured the world as a solo artist and support musician, recorded seven of her own albums, played on albums by artists such as Robyn Hitchcock and Michelle Shocked, and has produced albums for Scott Miller, Emma Swift and Ellen Starski, to name a few. Stephie Gee, Percussion & Flute
Stephie G. teaches percussion (drum set, hand drums, and mallets) in the convenience of her students’ homes. Since 2017, she has taught music privately, at summer rock camps, after-school programs, and the W.O Smith Music School. She believes in helping students discover and awaken their true potential. She values a comprehensive approach, teaching proper technique and music theory, honing skills that can be used in areas outside of music. As a teenager, she competed in Winter Guard International (WGI) and Southern California Percussion Alliance (SCPA) indoor drumline circuits, as well as marched in a Drum Corps International (DCI) World Class corps, all under the direction of John Mapes. She further studied commercial percussion with the king of groove, Go-Go Ray. Stephie G. has recorded for bands such as J. Shields & The Honey Spoons. She currently performs with local Nashville artists, and is passionate about raising up the next generation of musicians.
Susan Enan, Piano & Flute
Susan Enan has always had a passion for inspiring people through music, especially young people. She is delighted to be teaching piano and songwriting lessons to individuals or groups of all ages and skill levels. Susan lives in East Nashville and is available to travel to your home to teach. She studied music at Liverpool University, taught music lessons in schools throughout Northern Ireland, and led community music education & songwriting projects for youth. Susan also produces her own recordings as a singer-songwriter. In 2005, she recorded and produced her first album in NYC, collaborated with Sarah McLachlan, and toured the world. Jackie Graybill, Piano
Jackie has taught hundreds of students since May of 1999. She believes that enjoying the piano experience undoubtedly trumps becoming the next Liberace and delights in making lessons fun! Each student has a particular learning style, musical gifting and interest in a particular style of music, and Jackie loves matching her teaching to meet the needs of each individual student, whether they want to learn classical, broadway, pop music, improv, composition, Christian or something else. Jackie sees lessons as an adventure in helping each student get to the place where they are able to play the things they love.
Amaia Aguirre, Piano
Ms. Amaia studied classical piano and guitar at Larrabetzuko Musika Eskola, a music conservatory in the Basque country of Spain, between the ages of 7 to 16. She then branched off to study Blues & Boogie-Woogie at the “Blues School of Barcelona”. She earned a master’s degree in Pedagogy (Education) and can also be found around town as an educator at Montessori East & more! Ms. Amaia also performs with local rock bands like Thelma and the Sleaze, and believes in cultivating passion & pleasure for music as a self-expressive art.
